Heronswood Garden offers affordable plant classes throughout the year taught by field experts, that cover a host of practical subjects for the beginner through advanced learner. With classes ranging from propagation to native Washington plants used for medicinal purposes, foraging for mushrooms to dying with plant fibers, we are offering courses that will engender a love of plants in all of their life cycles and for all of their traditional and non-traditional uses.
Thanks to the Mountaineers Foundation aka Keta Legacy Foundation and WEAVE-NW we have been able to make these classes more affordable and varied in content. These classes help to introduce people of diverse ages, interests, and cultures to Heronswood, to gardening and to a love of plants, and for that we are very grateful.
